Conservative Teacher Re-Hired

Tim Latham was not offered a renewal of his teaching contract at Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas because of what Latham believes was due to his political leanings.  He didn't show Obama's inaugural speech, a student complained that he was "picking on Obama" in class and he had the audacity to have a McCain-Palin bumpersticker on his car.  In fact, the Asst. Principal even ask Latham how he could "support that woman".

Now Latham has his job back.  The political hack job they did on him was found out because the school did not follow proper procedures in not renewing his contract so the Superintendent stepped in and corrected the "error".  Many of the students said Latham is a good teacher and was fair during the Presidential campaign.  I guess we have to be careful when we don't support our boss's views, support the wrong candidate, or are too critical about the wool being pulled over our eyes.

At least in this instance the truth came out and an injustice was corrected.
