The Year Summer Forgot To Happen

Global warming is the nemesis that the Cap and Trade bill is meant to fight.  The tyranny of the majority has decided that they know exactly what temperature the earth is supposed to be and that it should remain the same.  Have we as a human race become that full of ourselves that we believe that Mother Nature should behave the way we want it to and that we have that much control over our Earth?

Al Gore would have you believe that the sky is falling and our favorite tropical island vacation destinations will be gone within 10 years.  Prince Charles has declared that we have 96 months to save the world.  According to these two geniuses (deep, deep sarcasm), the world's temperatures are set to increase to the point where crops will fail, lakes will dry up, the rivers will turn to blood, and fire and brimstone will fall from the sky.  The only problem is that someone forgot to tell North Dakota and Wisconsin.

North Dakota is having one non-scorcher of a summer.  In fact, an acquaintance of mine 2 weeks ago headed up to the Dakotas in order to bury his grandfather, who died a few months earlier.  Apparently, the ground has just now thawed enough for them to bury their dead.  Who knew?  Now, there's this little news story out of N. Dakota where at least one farmer is worried about his crops.  Is he worried that he hasn't received enough rain?  No.  Is he worried about it being too hot?  No.  He's actually worried that due to the cool temperatures and the wet conditions that his crops will not mature in time.  I'm sure he's just adding insult to Gore's  injury by using chemicals to help bring the crops to maturity in the cool, damp conditions.

And then there's the land of cheese and honey - Wisconsin.  Tomorrow, Wisconsin is forecasted to potentially set a new record for the lowest high temperature in July.  Chicago has been experiencing a cool summer also.  The summer around here has been pleasant except for that week where it was in the upper 90s.

In fact, the average temperature for Effingham in July is about 87 degrees.  Now, here is the forecast for the next 10 days - seems like a nice summer so far.

Don't let them pull the environmental cloak over your eyes.  They'll blame any deviation off their model on anything from volcanic eruptions to El Nino.  Amazing how they can forecast how hot the Earth will be in 20, 30, 50 years, but can't nail it for sure whether it is going to rain tomorrow.  Those that push this junk on the general public and our policy makers must know the gig is almost up because it's no longer global warming - it's "global climate change".  If they're changing what they're calling the environmental Apocalypse, then you know their model is broke.

UPDATE:  Last night after I wrote this, I was watching the Weather Channel and they were forecasting partly cloudy skies for that night.  Lo and behold, it started raining and south of here had a tornado warning.  I love when Mother Nature helps prove my point...
