The Sky Is Falling!
Tell Virginia that there is no more Santa Claus. Global warming has sunk his workshop into the Arctic Ocean. Better yet, it's R.E.M.'s song come to life "It's the end of the world as we know it."
The UN and Prince Charles have to get their doomsday predictions correct. Prince Charles said we had 96 months to save the world, but the UN says we only have 4 months. Well, if the UN said it is true, then it must be true, right? Of course not. The UN is about as effective as using bubblegum to fix a leak in a dam.
Is the Earth changing? Everyday. Is it due to mankind? Probably not as much as the "experts" let on. We should be good stewards of our environment but it seems the environmental kooks would cut off our arm to spite our hand. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is all about cutting industrialized nations like the US at the knees so that the Third World can pollute to their heart's content so they can "catch up". Redistribution of wealth on a global scale seems to be what the United Nations and the US Congress want.
The Sec. Gen. of the UN also outlined how Korea will be creating 1 million new green jobs. Good for them. However, the National Association of Manufacturers and the American Council for Capital Formation (yeah, never heard of them either) commissioned a study that showed that if Cap and Tax was implemented in the US, it would cost us about 2 million jobs. Here I thought Cap and Tax was supposed to create millions of jobs?
In all of this health care hullabaloo, don't forget there are other issues lurking in the dark waiting to rear their ugly head. Cap and Tax is just one of these issues. Congress has yet to take up the Employee Free Choice Act (Card Check), Cap and Tax, and immigration reform. And of course, they have the delicate issue of how to pay for all the crap that they are doing right now. Oh, and there's still that pesky inflation problem right around the corner. Yeehaw, the Dow Jones finished above 9,300. In my opinion, the rise in the market is the calm before the storm. There's more bad economic news just right around the corner, so grab a helmet - it's going to get bumpy.
