Wishing For Something To Be True Does Not Make It True
A once proud and courageous organization, the NAACP has taken that final step into partisan politics, leaving their history and wonderful accomplishments on the side of the road. The NAACP has long been thought of as a wing of the Democrat Party, but the resolution condemning the Tea Party movement as racist puts the nail in the coffin. The NAACP has now become the Democrat Party in name and spirit.
It really is sad that things have gotten to this point. As I said earlier, the NAACP used to stand for something important, but now they are using their standing in the African-American community to solidify a Democrat voting stronghold and to do the dirty work of the Democrat Party.
The NAACP has ignored the fact that the Democrats have promised more and more, and delivered less and less. The Democrat supported social safety net programs such as welfare has led to the destruction of the African-American family unit, but yet the NAACP continues their support of Democrats. The NAACP continues to support the pro-death Democrats despite a majority of abortions are done by minorities. The recently deceased Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) filibustered the Civil Rights Act and the Civil Rights Act saw more Republicans voting for the measure than Democrats - but yet the NAACP continues to support Democrats.
The racist charges against the Tea Parties have been proven wrong, or those that made the claims in the first place have yet to claim Andrew Breitbart's $100,000 prize for providing evidence of racism during the anti- Obamacare rallies in DC. Those that oppose President Obama and his policies being carried out in Congress are automatically labeled racist by the left. So when the NAACP was opposed to President George W. Bush's presidency and policies, that doesn't make the NAACP racists as African-Americans opposing a white president? The fact that the standards of what is racism is only applied to the right, and is reported with glee by the mainstream media is atrocious.
The Tea Parties oppose the runaway spending taking place in DC, not that the President is black. Get a clue NAACP. Our federal deficit through last month? $1 trillion. But all of our protests are because President Obama is black. Get a clue NAACP.
The NAACP tries to take the high road by calling on all people, including Tea Party leaders to renounce racism. One word for you: duh! Any birthers, 9-11 truthers, or racists within the Tea Party ranks have long been ostracized and marginalized as wingnuts. Has anybody from the leadership of the NAACP ever been to a Tea Party rally? Ever?! I invite any NAACP member to come to Effingham to our next rally. You won't see racists, you will see Americans from both sides of the aisle realizing our current track of the economy and socialist policies are destroying what is left of our Constitution and the unique American way of life. Those that attend also come from both sides of the aisle - disaffectioned Republicans, Independents that got sold a bill of goods, and Democrats that are witnessing their party become something they don't like. Tea Partiers woke up to the major parties taking for granted that we will continue to vote for the same tax and spend or spend and spend politicians that both parties have thrown at the electorate. The Tea Parties have continued to push for fiscal responsibility and have been instrumental at ousting incumbents that took getting re-elected for granted.
I'll leave you with this. Will the NAACP step up and condemn in a resolution Jeremiah Wright and his racist preachings/statements? Will the NAACP condemn the actions of the New Black Panther Party and the lack of prosecution on the part of AG Eric Holder? Will the NAACP condemn Black Liberation Theology? Will the NAACP condemn King Shabazz for his remarks? All I have to say is that before the NAACP points fingers, they should take a long hard look themselves and the people associated with them. As the old saying goes, those that live in glass houses should not throw stones.
