Leftist Lies Must Be Challenged
November 2nd was historic in many ways. The Republicans took back the
House in dramatic fashion, took numerous state legislatures and numerous
governors. But one of the most historic accomplishments has been
glossed over by the mainstream media focused more on creating a GOP
civil war, or trying to rehab Nancy Pelosi's image. What is this
historic accomplishment? The Republicans - and Tea Partiers in
particular - elected a number of minority candidates. Jesse Jackson and
Al Sharpton must be going nuts. Not to mention La Raza.
The liberals have forever and a day told minority groups that only Democrats can possibly help them and that the evil Republicans want to keep minorities beat down. Republicans are supposed to be the old rich white guys, not black, not woman, and not Latino.
In the black communities, they have heard Rev. Wrights, Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons repeatedly explain the above. Democrat politicians have strolled into black communities and reinforced what has been told to them by their "leaders". We're approaching 60 years since the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and this lie about Republicans is consistently told each election year.
History tells us a different story -- a story that Democrats, and others do not want to tell. Republicans freed the slaves. Republicans passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Republicans believe the individual rules supreme, skin color be damned.
Then there's the story that Democrats do not tell. Democrats instituted Jim Crow in the South. Democrats re-segregated the military - and that was after black leaders were told by Woodrow Wilson that he would work to improve race relations just to gain their support. Democrats blocked the 9 black kids from going to an all white school in Little Rock Arkansas in 1957 as a Republican President - Dwight D. Eisenhower sent federal troops to ensure those kids could go to school. Democrats tried filibustering the Civil Rights Act of 1964 - in particular the late Democrat Senator Robert Byrd. Democrats instituted Welfare which has single handedly destroyed the black family. Democrats support abortion resulting in a majority of abortions being done by minorities - never mentioning Planned Parenthood was originally set up in the 1930s to control "excess minority population". And more recently, our current Democrat President - who was supposed to be post-racial, post-partisan - routinely calls on minorities to help him and uses race baiting terminology in his speeches.
So which party has supported the black community more?
The little nugget of truth that it is Republicans that have striven to help black communities - not Democrats. This flies in the face of what liberals, Democrats, and the media have been shoving down the throats of the American people for decades. Allen West and Tim Scott - both black, both Tea Party backed, and both Republican - were just elected from majority white districts. But aren't Tea Partiers supposed to be racists? The NAACP would have you believe so. Somebody forgot to tell West and Scott and the voters of their districts. Can the lies being told by the left now be seen for the house of cards they actually are?
Latino voters are the next to be placed into the shackles of exploitation by the Democrat party. Latinos have been told that Democrats will provide amnesty, will stop deportations, and will be the savior of the Latino people. La Raza is the leading proponent of these lies. Will they fall into the same trap that has ensnared the leaders of the black community? The most glaring contradiction in the Democrats' tales of doom told to the Latino community is Marco Rubio. Rubio - conservative, Republican, and Tea Party supported - destroyed his competition in his bid for Senate. Latino Republicans won house races against other Latinos, won two governorships, and have broken the mold that Latinos can only be liberal Democrats - much to the chagrin of the La Raza race baiters.
The lessons learned on November 2nd are not just for liberals spouting their trash, but for Republicans as well. First, Republicans should not buy into the lies told by their ideological counterparts. We learned in 2008 that the black community is willing to head to the polls in large numbers. Republicans should not be afraid to go into the black community and vie for their votes. In the recent Illinois Governor's race, it could have meant the difference between a win and a loss. Republicans must fight the liberal lies head on within the black communities. Second, Republicans must vie for the Latino vote. Republicans need to head off the liberal hate machine before they infect the Latino community with the same lies told to the black community. Again, Republicans must campaign in these communities and fight the lies.
The left continues their divide and conquer tactics within the minority communities. Republicans must combat this at every turn. To not do so is pure folly. History is on the Republican side; we just need to remind minority voters of that history. I hope someday the voters will see the left for what they are - political drug dealers. Too harsh? What else would you call an ideology that year in and year out promises more and more of the same, vilifies the evil Republicans, and does more to prevent minorities from fulfilling their dreams all in order to gain their votes and get elected? The left uses their ideology like a political heroin. The left tells minority communities that everything is going to be great, but once minority communities sample the sauce, they are addicted. Minority communities end up suffering the ill effects of this political heroin - high unemployment, crime, barriers to entry for businesses, etc. However, once election time comes around, the Democrats descend into the minority communities to spread some more of their political heroin and the process starts all over again. The left will pay lip service in between elections, but nothing changes. This is the void Republicans must step into in order to break the vicious cycle of liberalism and the exploitation of minority communities for the political gains of the Democrats.
Sometimes the truth is a hard pill to swallow.

You are fearless.
Your analysis of the age-old bait-and-switch tactics used by liberal Democrats in minority neighborhoods is right on target.
And your drug-dealer metaphor is priceless.
Keep on telling the truth! I love it!
