Effingham Tea Party Regular Meeting
On Thursday, Sept. 15th at 6pm, we will be having our first monthly regular continuing education meeting at the Raintree Restaurant (next to the Best Western, in front of the Petro) in Effingham.
One of our speakers for the evening will be State Sen. Kyle McCarter, a conservative with an independent mind and voting record. Please attend and show your support for him as he is challenged by the IL GOP establishment candidate - State Sen. John O Jones - in the primary. Ladies and gentlemen, we always talk of the conservative vs. "the establishment" and we now have a prime example of that fight in our own backyard.
We will also be discussing the new districts, precinct committeemen, running for office, important election dates, and other need to know items.
In addition, we will be review the 9-12 principles.
Finally, we will open the floor to general discussion. This is your opportunity to discuss whatever you feel you want to discuss. Is there a bill in front of DC or Springfield you feel people should know about? Do you just want a chance to speak out on an issue that has been burning at you for awhile? This is your chance!
